Areva Mexico buys Digmotor special machines Digmotor supplies four machines for the production of instrument transformers components for Areva Mexico. The purchase of a third machine of this kind is expected for January 2010. With this deal Digmotor keeps on consolidating its world scale commercial relationship with Areva, and establish itself as an important supplier of machinery for generation and energy distribution sectors. |
 First Digmotor machine installed in Africa Digmotor supplies a transformer winding machine model DBT 700 for ABB Ivory Coast. This will be the first Digmotor machine installed in the african continent. Digmotor provides 14 special machines to Areva The 14 machines will be used in one of the Areva´s transformer production plant in Brasil. This deal is a significant part of the sales goal to be reached by Digmotor in this year. |
The company Orteng buys 6 machines for transformer production. The machines are from DMB 1025, DMB 700 and DCB 600 models. The DCB 600 is a combined winding machine for foil and wire winding. Now, this model can be provided for foils with 300, 400 and 600 mm wide. With this particular order, Digmotor assures the leadership in providing the Latin American market with machines for transformers manufacturers. |
Digmotor starts the ISO 9001 implementation process The company started the process in July, and has as a goal, the in implementation in less than 12 months. |
 Digmotor transfer its line of blow molding machines Under an agreement for assigning of rights and transference of technology, Digmotor Equipamentos Eletromecânicos Digitais Ltda. has sold the complete line of blow molding machines for preform PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) to Indústrias Romi S.A. The companies have entered into an agreement on January 28, through which the technology developed by Digmotor for this type of blow molding machines was transferred to Romi. Romi is a leading company in the Brazilian market for machine-tools and plastic processing machines. Romi´s strategy is to enlarge its line of blow molding machines, by adding the segment of PET that was not yet covered by the company and to incorporate new technology already tested and recognized by the market, and to start production and to launch this line of machines soon. Digmotor, by its turn, took advantage of this deal to enable the entering of the company into another segment of activities, which will be announced to the market in a few months. |

Winding Machine for Aluminum or Copper Foils L.V. 
Second quarter of 2008 Digmotor has improved the DMB 1025 foil winding machine model. The new Automatic foil alignment and the new automatic TIG welding systems performed far better then it was expected. The machine works with aluminium foil with 1.0 and 1,5 meters wide and 2.8 mm thick. Some customers: Weg Brazil, Weg México (Voltran), Cemec, Itaipu and Adelco. |

Vertical Coil Winder 
Second quarter 2008 Digmotor has developed vertical coil winding machines for coils up to 3,5 meters diameter, 5 meters of height and 5.5 ton heavy. Customer: Areva. |

All electric transformer core cutting line with Step lap geometry 
Third quarter of 2008 Digmotor improved the transformer core cutting line DMC 400. The improved machine is all electric driven (all servo motor) and has a new control with Step Lap cutting geometry system. The new system has over come the servo hydraulic system in performance and simplicity. |

Combined Winding Machine for Wire and Foil 
Fourth quarter of 2008 Digmotor developed and provided its first combined winding machine (aluminium and copper). This machine was developed for distribution transformer coil production. It has Foil, Insulation and wire decoilers and a motorized wire flattener with intelligent lung. The machine has an automatic gear changing system controlled by the coil program.This feature reduces the coil production time. Also, there is a photo and voice system that helps the operator during the manual work following the steps of coil program. Customer: Cam Tran Company (Canada). |
