The DMB 1025 CNC foil winding machine was designed to wind 1 or 2 aluminum or copper conductor foils.
| Main Frame | Made of stiff steel parts, all mechanical items are designed and precision-machined to withstand long operating hours of work.
The machine is divided in two parts: the winding unit and the decoilers. The winding unit includes the spindle, the tailstock, coil pressure rolls and edge filling strip decoiler. |
| Winding Unit | The winding unit is driven by AC motor with variable frequency drives and a planetary gear box. |
| Machine Command and Control | The machine has a distributed control system (CAN BUS network) and a computer as program interface. The control is responsible for the winding, foil alignment and foil tensioning. It is possible to store hundreds of winding programs.
All movements can be manually controlled by the operator an articulated panel hanging from the machine. |
| Foil Pressure Roll | These rubberized rolls, driven by pneumatic cylinders, are used for holding the wound coil and to help to shape the coil. |
| Automatic Alignment System | This device controls the alignment between the foil decoilers and the coil over the mandrel. It uses a precision encoder readings and performs the decoiler transverse linear movements. |
| Edge Filling Strip Decoiler | The edge strip used during the winding is supported by a decoiler located under the passing foil. The position of the strip rolls can be adjusted manually to adapt to the length of the foil. |
| Deburring Device | This equipment has a deburring device designed to assure the quality of the conductor foils edges. |
| Tailstock | The tailstock is designed to easy the unloading of the wound coil. It also secures the perfect alignment of the mandrel. |
| Insulation Decoiler System | The insulation decoiler system is composed of two insulation decoilers and two insulation trimming units. The shafts are pneumatically expanded and equipped with a pneumatic braking unit for tensioning (manually adjusted). |
| Foil Decoiler | The decoiler is the equipment that supports the coil raw material. It is built independently of the machine which allows for flexibility and easy loading.
It is equipped with a braking system for tension control and a linear moving system for the foil alignment control. The braking system remains constant independent of the size of the raw material coil. |
